To us, the meaning of Phytocomplex is tradition and nature.
It was born in 1985 and, since then, has gone hand in hand with our path to growth.
The line has evolved over time, adapting itself to the changing needs of the market, while maintaining a constant rooting in its own formula tradition. Phitocomplex also means nature as it comes from the constant research for ingredients of natural origin. In fact, plants, fruits, flowers and roots are where the most effective ingredients for hair beauty come from: essential oils, plant extracts, proteins and vitamins.

| Ingredients
Essential oils and plant extracts: known since ancient times, they have been the protagonists of millennial beauty rituals until they found amazing scientific foundations in modern knowledge. These precious elements come together in Phitocomplex products to effectively take care of your hair while fully respecting its natural beauty.
Essential oils. Phitocomplex products contain the most precious essential oils from organic farming, carefully selected.
Plant extracts. From orange to prickly pear, from helichrysum to lavender, from bergamot to basil: the love for our country has guided us in the selection of these precious gifts of nature.
Active plant water of Venere rice. With strong cosmetic properties, it is obtained with a gentle water-based extraction. We are able to obtain an extremely safe plant derivative with low environmental impact without using any chemical solvent during the production process.

| Watercolors
Our stylistic direction is expressed by the choice of watercolors made specifically for us by Elena Tarantino. Born in La Spezia and then moved to Genoa, she describes herself as a restless impressionist. A silent and judicious gift of her father, a new Caran d ‘Ache pencil every Saturday afternoon: her passport since then is her color box.
To quote her words: “A titmouse, a humble flower, a small plant are images, impressions in the heart, indelible for those who want to pick them, they are everything that is on the tip of my brush. […] Painting is a need for the soul. “Sharing it is an art.”

For this reason, in addition to a precise environmental choice, we opted for paper labels and packaging: small imperfections deriving from the repeated contact with water represent a fair compromise among art, nature and practicality.
